Effective, Safe and Fun Swimming with Bert Lozada Swim School

Swimming is the self-propulsion of a person through water, usually for recreation, sport, exercise, or survival, it is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. It keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body. Regular swimming builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness simultaneously. It helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs. Although swimming is a low-impact workout, it produces high-power results. It is typically considered an aerobic exercise, but exercising in water also provides moderate resistance that improves balance, sleep and bone health.

Swimming is one of my favorite thing to do; as long as the water is just above my shoulder, I'll be fine floating and moving in the water. I self learn breast stroke, backstroke and butterfly stroke but I can stay long in the water since I easily get leg cramps and I'm having trouble keeping my breath. That's the difference when you're self-taught compared to actually enrolling yourself to a swim class. That's why when Bert Lozada Swim School invited Gerilen & jer sons for a Mom & Child Swim Date, we said yes in a heartbeat!

Did you know? Newborns are swimmers. This phenomenon of human babies is called
Infant swimming. It is the reflexive movement through water that changes their rate of respiration and heart rate in response to being submerged. The slowing of heart rate and breathing is called the bradycardic response. Unfortunately, this survival skill is forgotten easily so it is important to have proper swimming lessons. Swimming helps babies and toddlers improve coordination and balance. Due to baby's weight supported by water, the main focus is for them to maintain balance to float and in the long run, move towards their desired direction. Overall, swimming keeps heart and lungs healthy and strong.  Babies who swim have better balance even out of the water because swimming helps build muscles, increases stamina and aids in proper posture. All these benefits while enjoying!
